SUMMARY:7th Annual Astronomy Festival Star Party @ Chaco
DESCRIPTION:Please join Chaco Culture and the Albuquerque Astronomical Society for a star party at the visitor center in celebration of our 7th annual Astronomy Festival! \nThe evening will kick off with a special presentation by a guest speaker in the visitor center auditorium. Then you will be invited to look through telescopes starting around 8:00 pm at planets\, nebulae\, galaxies\, star clusters\, and more. \nYou are welcome to stay as long or as little as you’d like. \nTelescope viewing is weather-dependent; please check in with the visitor on the day of your visit for the current weather forecast or any additional details you’d like to know. Reservations are not required. \n\nAgenda\nFriday\, September 27th \n10:00 am – Una Vida with Ranger Justin \n2:00 pm – Presentation by Marlon Magdalena \n7:00 pm – Presentation by Marlon Magdalena \n8:00 pm – Star Party with the Albuquerque Astronomical Society \nSaturday\, September 28th \n2:00 pm – Presentation by Christine Cassano \n7:00 pm – Astronomical Observing in Ancient Chaco with Alice Monet \n8:00 pm – Star Party with the Albuquerque Astronomical Society \nSunday\, September 29th \n10:00 am – Presentation by Christine Cassano \nAll programs will meet within the vicinity of the visitor center. No reservations are required to attend any of these programs. Parking lots may fill throughout the day. \nBiographies for our guest presenters are available with their respective photos.
